Code Switching to Survive in Conservative Statess

This week we ended up visiting some family in the deep red states in a small town of 200. From explaining our adventure to discussing code switching for queer people. It was a very different vibe then we’re used to, but it also brought up a topic of code switching and how queer people survive and thrive by blending in when needed.
